Howdy! You are invited to hear how academics and research are changing and on the move at Texas A&M University’s Department of Nutrition and Food Science. On Friday October 23 we will host the Alamo and Longhorn Sections of IFT along with other Texas food industry organizations for a joint meeting in College Station. We have new leadership in our department headed by Dr. Boon Chew coming to us from Washington State and Dr. Steve Talcott (Class of ’94) leading academics. Join us to hear about “Food Science 2.0”, a new way to train the next generation of food scientists for the Texas food industry. You will also visit with our students and student-organizations and hear about future plans for the food science and nutrition programs in Aggieland.
