I hope everyone has had a great start to 2017! A big thanks to ArchPoint for not only hosting, but sponsoring the first Lunch-n-Learn. Hearing the team speak on the changing retail landscape was eye opening and interesting. Heading into February we are looking forward to the hearing Shannon Walker, an astronaut, speak at NASA as well as get a tour of the NASA food lab so please see the detailed information in the newsletter and be aware of the cut-off registration date.
IFT Election ballots have been sent out as of January 31st so please check your emails and vote! We have 2 local chapter members that are running for the National IFT Board; Vickie Kloeris (candidate for Board of Directors) and Michele Perchonok (candidate for President-Elect). Let’s show them some Alamo IFT support. Votes must be cast by 5pm Thursday, March 2nd.
Participation is everything so please let me know if anyone is interested in getting more involved with Alamo IFT. I look forward to seeing everyone in Houston!
